アーティスト／研究者。ソフトアクチュエータを用いたキネティックアート作品を制作し、「生命と機械の間で揺らぐ運動」を主題に、最小かつ不安定な運動原理が形態や物語ではなく素材と身体感覚を通じて生命感を表現する動きを生成する仕組みを探究しています。ダンス・パフォーマンス領域との協働も継続的に行っています。
Artist and researcher. Akira makes kinetic art works using soft actuators and, under the theme of “movement wavering between life and machine”, explores mechanisms by which minimal and unstable principles of motion generate movement that expresses a sense of life through material and bodily sensation rather than through form or narrative. Akira also collaborates continuously with the field of dance and performance.
